LIFE IN OUR TREES

George McGavin

Our patron is returning to inspire!
TV presenter, explorer, author and entomologist Dr George McGavin is back by popular demand with another lively examination of wildlife.
He says “I’ve been lucky enough to visit rainforests all over the world and share the wonders of these ecosystems with television audiences. While I am very concerned about the fate of rainforests, we also need to look after our own forests and woodlands as they are a vital store of biodiversity and carbon. We need to fight for every tree but we don’t need to go mad planting the wrong trees in the wrong places. Letting our woodland regenerate is the best solution. It will cost a lot less and be more successful in the long run.”

Saturday October 26 - 7.30pm at Otley Courthouse

Tickets available from Otley Courthouse Wildlife Arts Festival: George McGavin - 'The Life in our Trees' (ticketsolve.com)
